Why did you choose to do a PhD?
I always wanted to be a researcher and since PhD is all about exploring, learning new skills and getting trained to be better in your field of interest, I decided to go for it.
Why did you choose to do graduate education at NUS? If you received offers from other universities, why did you pick NUS?
Firstly, I was attracted by the research works and the research groups at Centre for Quantum Technologies, NUS. They do an amazing job and I knew it would be fun to be a part of it. Secondly, Singapore is a very beautiful country to live with many places to visit and the climate is awesome.
Briefly share about your research or thesis (i.e. dissertation topic for Masters by Coursework students).
I am trying to study ultracold Fermi gas in optical lattices, mainly in disordered optical lattice potentials, and the atomic interactions that lead to localization effects.
