Why did you choose to do a PhD?
PhD is a good opportunity for me to learn advanced knowledge about data science, and also can train me to think in a rigorous way.

My research is about applying data-driven methods in business research questions, like how to help companies conduct promotions, save operational costs, etc.

NGS and IDS provide integrated resources from almost all disciplines in Science and Techonology. This enables me to consider my research question in a broader view, and come up with more innovative ideas.

Research is not easy by itself. It took energy to catch up with a good idea and prove it works well.
