Baroness Morgan of Huyton, the Master of Fitzwilliam College, and Peter O’Connor, the Development Director of Fitzwilliam College, hosted a reception in Singapore, with their alumni, as part of their College’s celebration to honor the legacy and influence of the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.

The event took place at the Arts House on January 8, 2024, and was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. Rod Cantrill, Bursar, Fitzwilliam College, Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, Dr Lee Suan Yew (brother of the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew) and Mr Heng Chee How, Senior Minister of State for Defence.

In attendance was the donor, Mr Teh Poh Liong, General Manager of Lyman Group as well as of senior management from NUS Graduate School (NUSGS), Professor Jessica Pan, Vice Provost (Graduate Education) and Dean NUSGS, and Professor Wong Lim Soon, Deputy Dean, NUSGS. Notably present were the NUS recipients of the LKY-Fitzwilliam NUS PhD Scholarships, including Ms. Leong Jia Yun from the Faculty of Law and Mr. Teo Wee Joon from the College of Design and Engineering.
