Why did you choose to do a PhD?

Yes, I would have have still chosen a PhD. In order to be effective and achieve my goal of becoming a world-renowned scientist to advance scientific research and education in Africa, I recognized the indispensability of a PhD. Although I had gained some research experience during my masters degree in Leeds, a PhD was necessary in sharpening my analytical and research skills to be able to achieve my aim.

Why did you choose to do graduate education at NUS? If you received offers from other universities, why did you pick NUS?

Yes I would still choose NUS. Apart from NUS programmes standing out with emphasis on research and analytical skills as well as a good learning atmosphere, the international exposure experienced in Singapore was awesome. In a changing world, studying in NUS offered me the opportunity to interact and build connections with many internationals. In Singapore, it seems like all continents are represented!
