Accounting is the language of business, facilitating communication of the financial aspects of business. Our PhD programme helps students understand the world of accounting organisations on a fundamental level. Students will focus on methodological issues in accounting and finance empirical research, and be equipped with necessary knowledge and skills to complete their dissertations. Students will work closely with supervisors in a highly collaborative environment that allows to share different experiences and ideas.
The Department of Accounting was established in 2007 as a distinct department in the NUS Business school. Since its establishment, it has been making its impact on research where the faculty has published in the top tier accounting journals regularly.
