- The Master of Science (Semiconductor Technology and Operations) programme aims to provide holistic and foundational knowledge to graduates who are interested in the field of semiconductor technology and operations, with the following education outcomes in mind.
- Equip graduates with the fundamentals and the latest semiconductor technologies with respect to materials, devices, manufacturing, packaging and testing.
- Understand semiconductor technology infrastructure investments and supply chain management.
- Review key cost and benefits decision-making at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels relevant to semiconductor chip design and manufacturing.
- Comprehend the complete design, technology development, manufacturing process, and technological innovation cycles.
- Understand the past and current business models of the technology development process.
- Graduates can take up semiconductor Manager/Engineer roles in Process, Process Integration, New Product Introduction, Manufacturing and Operations, Yield, Test, Failure Analysis, Quality and Reliability, Industrial, Supply Chain, Customer Support, Programme Management relating to the Semiconductor Industry such as Design Services; Application Drivers; Foundries; Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT); Equipment/ Material Supply Chain; Research Institutes; Government Agencies.

- Welcome to the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The discipline of electrical and computer engineering pervades every aspect of modern society and continues to be the cornerstone of rapid technological advances that improve the quality of life in this millennium. NUS ECE strives to be at the forefront of engineering education to equip our students to be engineering leaders in industry, research, and entrepreneurship.
- ECE is the largest department at NUS with over 70 tenure-track and teaching faculty, and 2400 undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students.
- ECE is a research-intensive department. Our faculty research staff and students are engaged in cutting-edge research activities that span a diversity of areas. These include Communications & Networks; Control, Intelligent Systems & Robotics; Integrated Circuits & Embedded Systems; Power & Energy Systems; Microelectronic Technologies & Devices; Microwave & RF; and Signal Analysis & Machine Intelligence. By leveraging expertise in these core areas, ECE engages industry and government agencies to address challenges embodied in the Smart Nation initiative such as the creation of intelligent built environments, transportation, urban sustainability, security, and health-care.

- Applicants who do not meet the requirements can be considered under “Discretionary Intake” where working experience plays an important criterion.
- Applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate their English proficiency by means of the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test scores. Applicants may be waived from this requirement if they completed their degree programme taught entirely in English, situated in an English-speaking country, for example (non-exhaustive list) Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom, USA.
- The official TOEFL/IELTS scoresheets must be provided during the online application period, otherwise your application will not be considered.
- The TOEFL score or IELTS result is only valid for 2 years after the test and should be valid at the beginning of the application period.
