Overview
The NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) is a master’s degree programme offered by the NUS Business Analytics Centre (BAC). It is designed and taught by award-winning academics from NUS Business School and NUS Computing. The master’s degree programme aims to develop professionals with business analytics skills that will meet the growing demands of companies looking to improve their operations through data analytics.
Offered in Singapore for local and overseas students as a full-time (13 months) or part-time (2-year) programme, the NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) programme is designed to facilitate experiential learning, through a balance of intellectual academic rigour and hands-on applications. Students who underwent the NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) programme will be well-equipped with skills such as machine learning to excel in the data-analytics field across various industries such as finance, retail, information technology, supply chain, and healthcare.

In a 5-year partnership that ensued, with IBM contributing industrial knowledge and NUS offering academic expertise, BAC offered and hosted the NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) programme. Based in Singapore, students both local and international, enrolled in this master’s degree programme are trained to meet the growing demand of companies who are looking to improve their operations through business analytics.

No specific academic pre-requisites are needed for the programme
- A good Bachelors’ degree, preferably from Business, Computing, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or Statistics, with a good honours classification; or at least 2 years’ relevant work experience
- A good quantitative score in GRE/GMAT for overseas degree-holders**
- Strong Mathematics foundation
*All credentials will be weighted by the quality of applicants each year. Hence, there is no minimum cut-off for any component.
**GRE/GMAT will be exempted if you graduate from either of the 4 local universities (NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD).
