Why Did You Choose To Pursue A PhD?

I subscribe to an entrepreneurial lifestyle and hope to use technology to change the lives of the people around me for the better. In today’s society, we face countless challenges such as the recent pandemic, global warming, and many more. The root cause of these problems often can be alleviate or even solved using deep technology. Hence, I pursue a PhD to equip myself with the necessary knowledge and skills in hopes of building such technology.

Why Did You Choose To Pursue Your PhD At NUS?

NUS offers a lot of deep technology spin-off opportunities such as the GRIP and TAP program. It offers an end to end journey from ideation to productization and ultimately delivers the value to the end-users. This encourages relevant research close to the heart of the problems and provides meaning to my work.
