In retrospect, would you still have chosen to do a PhD? Why?

Yes! The PhD journey not only provided me with the opportunity to continue to pursue my research area of interests, but it also taught me about perseverance and resilience.

On hindsight, would you still have chosen NUS to do your PhD?

Yes. I did my undergraduate nursing degree in NUS and I like the learning environment in NUS. NUS Nursing is one of the top ranking nursing universities in Asia. Moreover, I was offered an NUS research scholarship. So why not?

On hindsight, would you have chosen the same research supervisor for your PhD?

Yes! My PhD research supervisor, A/Prof Liaw Sok Ying, was more than a supervisor. She is a great mentor who has offered research and career advice. She has also given me sufficient space to grow and learn at my own pace.

Briefly share something fun in your graduate journey at NUS that you remember.

I have made a few good friends from this PhD. They kept me company throughout my PhD journey!
