PhD is a marathon not a sprint. You have to have dogged determination, and just keep going!

In retrospect, would you still have chosen to do a PhD? Why?

Yes, doing my PhD set me up for the job I always wanted.

On hindsight, would you have chosen the same research topic for your PhD?

My PhD topic actually changed during my PhD, but I believe that I could not have directly chosen my final project without first exploring my first topic area.

On hindsight, would you have chosen the same research supervisor for your PhD?

Yes, I was lucky to have a very supportive PhD supervisorand co-supervisor. They let me explore and figure outwhat was interesting to me.

Briefly share something fun in your graduate journey at NUS that you remember

Going to conferences, and meeting fellow researchers in remote destinations.

What advice would you give someone considering doing his/her PhD at NUS?
