Why did you choose to do a PhD?

Doing research that I like and teaching students what I know are always my dream job, so without a Ph.D. degree these are just impossible.

Why did you choose to do graduate education at NUS? If you received offers from other universities, why did you pick NUS?

I finished my Ph.D. at CQT, NUS for three and half years only. In retrospect, my Ph.D. journey was so smooth simply because of the freedom and all the resources provided by CQT and NUS.

On hindsight, would you have chosen the same research supervisor for your graduate programme?

My supervisor Prof. Berthold-Georg Englert provided me with his tireless support throughout my undergraduate study as well as Ph.D. candidature in Singapore. I am deeply grateful for his invaluable guidance, as well as his passion, wisdom and insights in Physics that inspires and encourages me always.
