5 Graduate Students from NUS School of Computing won Google PhD Fellowships

This is the inaugural year for the Google PhD fellowship for Africa, India and Southeast Asia. 5 PhD graduate students from the School of Computing at NUS won Google PhD fellowship in the following fields:

  1. Machine Learning: Qinbin Li (Thesis Advisor: A/Prof Bingsheng He), Shen Li (Thesis Advisor: Asst Prof Bryan Hooi) and Tianyuan Jin (Thesis Advisor: Assoc Prof Xiaokui Xiao)
  2. Mobile Computing: Soundarya Ramesh (Thesis Advisors: Prof Chan Mun Choon and
    Asst Prof. Jun Han)
  3. Privacy and Security: Teodora Băluţă (Thesis Advisors: Prof Prateek Saxena
    Asst Prof Kuldeep S. Meel)
