Bio

I’m an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore, Department of Geography. My research interests include global carbon cycle (such as wetland carbon flux and drivers) and atmospheric chemistry using advanced monitoring techniques (e.g. drone, aircraft, remote sensing), machine learning algorithms, and atmospheric modeling. Before moving to Singapore, I worked in Prof. Rob Jackson‘s lab at Stanford University as a postdoctoral researcher on the Global Carbon Project and FLUXNET project, particularly wetland methane emission and its environmental drivers. Before Stanford, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, USA, and Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, Germany. I received my PhD from the Atmospheric Chemistry Department at Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in December 2020 (advisor: Prof. Jonathan Williams). I serve as an Editorial Board Member and Section Lead at Communications Earth & Environment (Springer Nature, Impact Factor: 8.9).
