Brief Description of Research:

In Systems Security, a key question is how to protect against Vulnerabilities in Software. We have state-of-art work in defenses which prevent against memory errors, type errors, control flow injection. Challenges are how to have workable and effective defense mechanisms for real-world software.

In Artificial Intelligence, the focus is on reasoning and solving constraints. Constraint solvers (which include SAT solvers) are ubiquitous where there are constraints and optimization. However such problems are either NP-Complete or NP-hard. The research focuses on how to develop effective solver techniques ranging from the core reasoning algorithms to search techniques. We have some of the state-of-art solvers for general finite domain constraints.

Other research include: social networks, cloud computing
