The NUS Research Scholarship (“Scholarship”) is awarded to outstanding graduate students for research leading to a higher degree at the University.

GRE and TOEFL are required, if medium of instruction at university during undergraduate course is not English.

Service Commitments
International Students on Scholarship who are admitted from must fulfil 208 hours under the Graduate Assistantship Programme.

Other Terms and Conditions
The scholar may not find any form of employment, or hold any other scholarship, award, fellowship or allowance during the period of the scholarship without the prior approval of the university.
The Scholarship is tenable for one year in the first instance and thereafter may, subject to the Scholar’s satisfactory progress, be renewed each semester at the University’s discretion.
The maximum period for receipt of the monthly stipend and the tuition fee subsidy is two years, as determined by the relevant faculty or school in each case. The monthly stipend is payable only during the Scholar’s residency at National University of Singapore in Singapore.
