NUS Industry-Relevant PhD Scholarship (NUS-IRP)

The FoS PhD programmes provide training in a particular subject area through independent investigation, study and experimental work, culminating in the submission of a thesis on the research undertaken. A supervisor or supervisors will be appointed for each candidate. Students are required to attend appropriate lectures and sit for written examinations.

 PhD students will have the opportunity to partner closely with world-class faculty members on a wide variety of rigorous academic programmes as well as exciting research projects in any of our seven departments.

Non-Singaporeans/non-PRs need to fulfil 416 hours under the Graduate Assistantship Programme.

Suspension or termination of scholarship may be imposed on research scholars who do not meet the coursework continuation requirements or obtain unsatisfactory research progress grading.

How to Apply?

Applicants may apply for the scholarship within their admissions application through GradApp and fulfill additional scholarship application requirements stated there.

 All applicants should apply online via the Graduate Admission System.

Applicants should browse the User Guide before applying.

All supporting documents must be uploaded (in pdf format) by the application closing date. English translations should accompany supporting documents that are not in English.

In addition to the above, your application will not be complete without the receipt of 2 Referee Reports, which your referees will submit online. Please indicate their email contacts accurately when associating the referees with your application.
