Common Law

In collaboration with East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) in Shanghai, NUS Law has offered a specialised LLM in International Business Law since 2005. The classes are conducted entirely in English. Students study in NUS Law in Semester 1 and in ECUPL in Semester 2. It is the first overseas degree programme of NUS Law. Building on the expanding links between Singapore and the People’s Republic of China, the specialist LLM in International Business Law (IBL) degree signifies another innovative step towards the NUS Law School’s vision of becoming a leading global law school.  The approval of the Chinese authorities for this programme is a further validation of the high reputation that the NUS Law School enjoys both within and outside Asia. This is particularly true given the fact that China receives a large number of applications for degree programmes involving foreign educational institutions.
