Master of Economics (Coursework)
- The Department of Economics offers a Master of Economics coursework programme with two tracks, the career-oriented Applied Economics track and the academic-oriented Quantitative Economics track.
- Applied Economics Track
The career-oriented Applied Economics track is for individuals who wish to become professional economists or economic consultants in business, non-profit, or government organizations. Students who successfully complete this course will be able to apply their economic expertise to a wide range of challenging situations facing firms, policymakers, and other stakeholders. The academic-focused Quantitative Economics track is for students who wish to acquire a deeper knowledge of advanced economic theory and analytical and quantitative methods. GPA | An NUS Honours degree (Merit/Second Class and above) or equivalent (e.g., a four-year Bachelors degree with at least an average grade of B or equivalent) in the subject or related field; or A good Bachelors degree (at least an average grade of B or equivalent) in the subject or related field and successful completion of a placement test; or exceptionally, Other qualifications and experience subject to approval by the Graduate Studies Division, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. |
