The Master of Science (Supply Chain Management) programme is hosted jointly by the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific, and the Department of Analytics & Operations from NUS Business School. It is a well-structured integrated multi-disciplinary programme that combines topics from business and engineering and is ideal for mid-career professionals who are keen to advance their career in supply chain management. The programme will be complemented by site visits to logistics and manufacturing companies, and the country’s ports. Expert industry speakers in supply chain management and logistics will be invited to share their best practices.

The programme comprises a comprehensive skill set for planning and operating modern supply chains in Asia with a global context so that graduates from this programme will be able to assume positions as logistics executives, supply chain analysts, and manufacturing planners.

The M.Sc.(SCM) programme is an inter-disciplinary programme, jointly offered by the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering & Management (ISEM), the Department of Analytics and Operations (DAO) of NUS Business School, and The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific (TLI-Asia Pacific).

The ISEM Department, established in 1972, has been offering M.Sc. (Industrial & Systems Engineering) since 1969 as the first MSc degree in engineering in Singapore. It has been a highly successful graduate coursework programme with high quality student intake and has produced more than 1,907 graduates to-date.

The Department of Analytics & Operations is well-known internationally as a research centre of excellence in supply chain and logistics. It has been responsible for the quantitative dimension of business school education, particularly in Analytics, Operations Research and Supply Chain Management.

The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific is a collaboration between National University of Singapore (NUS) and Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) for research, education and industry outreach in global logistics. TLI – Asia Pacific has wide industry recognition as a leading institute in providing professional short courses in logistics. It has been awarded “Best Education Course Provider” at the Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) from 2003 to 2013, “Supply Chain Education Institution of the Year” by Supply Chain Asia between 2009 to 2011 and 2014, and “Best Educational Course Provider” at the 2016 Asian Freight Logistics and Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS).

Target Audience

The M.Sc.(SCM) programme is ideal for graduates with good honours degrees in engineering, mathematics, computing, business administration or other related technical disciplines, who are keen to advance themselves in a career in the logistics and supply chain industry.

Candidates opting for the programme on part-time should preferably have 1 to 3 years of relevant practical work experience after their first degree.

Those with at least 2 years of working experiences in the Logistics/Supply Chain Management industry will be considered favourably under discretionary admission.

Candidates opting for the programme part-time should preferably have 1 to 3 years of relevant practical work experience after their first degree.

TOEFL (internet-based test) or IELTS (academic) is required if your first language is not English. You may be waived from this requirement if you have completed your degree programme taught entirely in English, situated in an English-speaking country, for example (non-exhaustive list) Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom, USA.


The TOEFL score or IELTS result is only valid for 2 years after the test and should be valid at the beginning of the application period
