  1. The Centre for Advanced Dental Education (CADE) was established in 2006 as one of the Faculty of Dentistry’s strategic initiatives and aims to raise the Faculty’s profile through a heightened role in providing continuing dental education, an approach that is in line with government’s vision for Singapore as a regional medical hub which includes dental services by providing quality training to dentists in the region. CADE was set up before compulsory Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programme was mandated by the Singapore Dental Council from 2007 and enacted by the Dental Registration Act in 2008.
  2. As a leader in continuing dental education then and now, CADE has forged a strong identity through its highly successful and established Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology, which has delivered thirteen graduating cohorts since. We have also introduced the Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Dentistry which is specially designed for dental surgeons to receive additional training to deliver evidence-informed care to the elderly. One cohort has graduated since its introduction.
