Why did you choose to do a PhD?
On my journey in medicine, i became immensely fascinated at the science behind cancer therapeutics and how oncology was a perfect subspecialty at this intersection. As i trained for medical oncology, i felt the need to refine my understanding of molecular biology that will better equip me to further explore my interest in developmental therapeutics.
Why did you choose to do graduate education at NUS? If you received offers from other universities, why did you pick NUS?
NUS is the ideal place for me to do a PhD, as the university campus and hospital are located in close proximity. The ability for me to seamlessly care for patients and also transfer questions from bedside to bench back to bedside is a great motivator for me to pursue my interest in this field.
