The NUSRI-CQ PhD Scholarship is awarded to outstanding students who have been offered admission to the NUSRI-CQ-affiliated PhD Programme. The Scholarship consists of a monthly stipend and full tuition fees’ subsidy. Its quantum is the same as the normal NUS scholarship.

Service Commitments
Non-Singaporeans/non-PRs need to fulfil 208 hours under the Graduate Assistantship Programme.
Service Bonds
Scholars are required to work for at least two (2) years in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area upon graduation. Scholars may be self-employed, employed under government agencies or any business entities, or continue research work in research institutions, such as the NUS Research Institute (Chongqing).
Other Terms and Conditions
The Scholarship is tenable for one year in the first instance and thereafter may, subject to the Scholar’s satisfactory progress, be renewed each semester at the University’s discretion.
The Scholar may not accept employment, whether or not he/she is remunerated, or hold concurrently any other scholarship, fellowship, allowance or other award during the period of the Scholarship, without the prior written approval of the University.
