FASS Dean's PhD Fellowship
  1. The Fellowship will provide the best incoming FASS PhD candidates with an additional year of funding. Up to three Fellowships will be awarded to the most promising candidates. The Fellowship is to defray living expenses and fees in the final year of the recipient’s studies, after the NUS scholarship expires.
  2. The Fellowship will allow recipients to focus on the thesis during the final crucial stage of writing, allowing them to produce a high quality thesis within the remaining period of the candidature.
  3. Fellowship recipients are expected to complete their PhD candidature within five years. As such, the thesis is to be submitted no later than 12 months from the start of the Fellowship.
  4. Candidates who submit their thesis before the end of the 12 months will be able to stay on for the remainder of the period to work on converting the thesis for publication. In this instance, they will be named a “Dean’s Graduate Writing Fellow”. There will be no additional benefits attached to this Fellowship.
  5. The Dean’s PhD Fellowship will be awarded together with an NUS scholarship at the point of admission.
