Brief Description of Research:

Prof. Kawi received B.Sc. from Univ. Texas (Austin), M.Sc. from Univ. Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), and PhD from Univ. Delaware. After postdoc at Univ. California, he joined the National University of Singapore. He has published > 300 papers (h index = 66), 5 patents, 1 book, 3 book chapters, edited 10 special issues as a guest editor of 8 journals, presented > 10 Plenary / Keynote Lectures at international conferences, served on Editorial Board of 4 journals, Associate Editor of 2 journals and Conference Chair of 13th Int. Conference on CO2 Utilization. His research areas: catalysts for CO2 utilization to syngas/H2, alcohol/biogas reforming, biomass gasification, water gas shift, propane dehydrogenation, biomass conversion to fuels, catalytic membrane reactors for separation integrated with reactions.
