Young Fellowship Program
Hey There!
NUS will be hosting our inaugural 2024 NUS Young Fellowship Program this June!
Asia’s premier university and a globally recognized leader in academia, the National University of Singapore is proud to give bright young scholars from around the world (especially ASEAN), a glimpse of our world-class graduate education in this one-week fellowship!
Immerse in a captivating experience featuring thought-provoking seminars, engaging workshops, and enlightening tours of our cutting-edge research facilities, dynamic startup incubators, and the vibrant cityscape of Singapore!
The program unfolds over an engaging period of 5 – 6 weeks, commencing with an engaging 1 week on campus. Subsequently, fellows will spend 4 weeks working on their group projects back in their homes, and finally closing with an online group presentation.

You will receive an award of SGD 800 from NUS at the end of the fellowship. Additional funding, either from your home university or through other avenues, may be helpful in covering the balance expenses incurred. To welcome you, complimentary on-campus lodging will be provided!

10.30 am – 11.30 am: Problem-solving “Rough, Rapid, Right” (Prof Chai Kah Hin)
11.30 am – 1.30 pm: What is Gen AI (Dr Amirhassan Monajemi)
1.30 pm – 2.30 pm: Lunch at Cinnamon College
2.30 pm – 4 pm: AI and Ethics (Prof Simon Chesterman)
4 pm – 5.30 pm: Campus tour (guided by student ambassadors)

1.30 pm – 3 pm: 3 Minute Thesis (Dr Rafi Rashid) NUS Graduate School (NUSGS) and the Centre for English Language Communication (CELC)

Online Showcase of Final Group Projects
Virtual get-together to share your group projects, following which a congratulatory certificate of completion will be awarded
